Magna Carta, a charter of English liberties granted by King John on June 15, 1215, under threat of civil war. By declaring the sovereign subject to the rule of law and documenting the liberties held by FREE MEN, the Magna Carta provided the foundation for individual rights. The fame of this charter lies not with its impact, which was relatively small, but the legacy. Peace brought up from a spill of ink, Forcing King John by his barons in an attempt to limit his power. The initial charter was swiftly annulled and reissued by his son after his death. The idea lived on till today. Still, it has portrayed as an example of the principles of law, human rights, and justice. The mighty Knight Templars took a huge part in this civil war.
